Conquest Alumni Post Season Success

My greatest pleasure as a coach is watching kids that I had the opportunity to coach at our club succeed at the high school level. It's fun to see these kids get together and talk about all the trips we made to state, regionals, and nationals. They also talk about the toughness of our room. Alot of fun times! But to give our current kids that our 7 and 8 a glimpse of their future, I will sound off a couple of this years accomplishments of my wrestlers.
112: Daniel Flores: South Hills HS: 2x state qualifier, this year was a runner-up at CIF, Placed 4th at Masters, and had a great state tournament.
125: Chris Mecate: Redlands East Valley: 2x State Qualifier, this year was a Super 32 National champ, CIF Champ, Masters Champ, and placed 5th at State.(11th grade)
130: Michael Vargas: EL Dorado HS: 2x State Qualifier, this year was a CIF Champ, Masters Runner-up, and placed 8th at State.
135: Joey Davis: Sante Fe HS: 2x State qualifier, this year was a CIF Champ, Masters Champ, Placed 2nd at State.(10th grade)
Jacob Leon: Alta Loma HS: 2nd CIF. Masters qualifier.(11th)
140: Frank Martinez: Northview: 3x State qualifier, this year was CIF champ, Masters Champ, STATE CHAMPION and undefeated season
Charles Chavez: El Dorado HS: 4x State qualifier, this year was CIF Champ, 2nd Masters, placed 5th at STATE
Haydn Scharbrough: Glendora HS: CIF Champ, placed 6th at Masters, State Qualifier.
145: Cody Smith: Corona/Santiago HS: CIF Champ, placed 6th at Masters and was a State qualifer (11th grade)
Cody and Chris Mecate use to travel over an hour just to get to practice! Haydn and Frank 30 minutes away. Joey Davis 45 minutes from Compton. Daniel Flores 30 minutes from Covina. Jacob 30 minutes from Covina.
Thank you to all those wrestlers and parents for letting me be a part of their lives. It's been a real joy!
